Project:  Wildflower Festival Poster
Programs: Illustrator
The final design features the words 'Wildflower Festival" interwoven in an illustration of wildflowers. The combination of the wildflowers and the title creates an emphasis on the importance of the words. The colors of the flowers draw the viewer in and the movement draws the eye towards the title of the event. The addition of the information at the bottom in green, ties the information to the illustration and therefore, the title. Important information is placed at the bottom of the poster to give space for the viewer to quickly digest and not be overwhelmed.

My last section of research was into the wildflowers that populate Colorado. There is a surprisingly long list of wildflowers that grow in Colorado. To help narrow down this list, I choose flowers biased on their unique shapes, colors, and population. The flowers I ended up incorporating into the illustration depended on what flowers would be the most identifiable in illustration form and  which flowers  when put together added balance to the final illustration.
