Project: Hoax Poster

For this project, I brought an excerpt of a song to life through a typographic poster. Hoax by: Taylor Swift is one of my favorite tracks off of the album, folklore. I selected a part of a verse and the chorus from the song Hoax, because I wanted to play with the repetition of the word my and the letter, x. I decided to keep most of the text similar, since the song is slower and more melancholy. With only manipulating a few words, I created more emphasis on the words I did change. I brought light to the subject being “you” by increasing the size and value compared to the other text. I also put the main line of the chorus vertically and behind the other text, because it is the underlying message of the whole song and I wanted the viewer to read that last.
