Project: Intertwined Movie Poster

My final design features a mixed together puzzle combining the two photos of a male and a female. Displaying the people at the same hierarchy level states the importance of these characters together and the relationship they share. The incorporation of the puzzle pieces intermingling, establishes that a more intimate bond will consume these two. The missing pieces help to add more dimension to the poster while further implying the relationship is unfinished and not every aspect of the love perfectly fits together. The more natural and neutral tones, ground the poster into the idea of the realistic aspects of life, rather than a dark and scary horror movie.
Looking back on this project, I learned more techniques and shortcuts to use in Photoshop. One example that saved me a lot of time was the save and load selection. Especially, when I was cutting out puzzle pieces and moving them around the board. One thing that I would change the next time I work in photoshop, is organizing my groups and layers.
